Book Review of Dangerous Calling by Paul David Tripp

This book is a must read for pastors, seminary students, and anyone contemplating ministry.  I wish I had such a copy when I began many years ago!

I have personally recommended it to men in ministry for years and those young pastors who are  just beginning.

Paul Tripp gives insight into his personal struggles as a pastor and offers insight into the many dangers in the culture of ministry that can undermine his well-being.

The book is divided into the major sections: Part 1 Examining Pastoral Culture; Part 2 The Danger of Losing your Awe [forgetting who God is]; and Part 3 The Danger of Arrival [Forgetting who you are]

I like what James MacDonald says regarding the book. “Approach it prayerfully, and passionately and be prepared for the change God will make in your heart, life, and ministry.”

Please read it and be personally blessed  as well as  your family and church.
